Hey guys! I just thought I'd let you know about the novel that I'm currently in the process of writing. It's titled "Water in the Wine Glass", and is most certainly a romance as is to be expected It follows young baroness Clara Rainier, a woman well-known for her habit of attending her local theater in order to charm men into courting her. These men, however, only last about a month before she leaves them and proceeds to find a new one at the same theater. When she meets one who might just last forever... will things be as perfect as she dreams? I think not. It is set in mid 19th century Paris, in the countryside just beyond the city. Check it out at: www.fictionpress.com/~justnormal(click "Water in the Wine Glass" once there) I hope you enjoy it, as you RC'ers tend to enjoy the more mature and caring types of relationships, rather than urgent lust. Please leave a review if you like!

UPDATE: New advertising banner created by moi, involving the visual inspirations for each of the three main characters. As Clara Rainier, we have Romola Garai (with a couple small feature adjustments; the eyebrows, nose, addition of the bangs, and thickness of the lashline) As Julius Thibeault, we have Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. As Tristan Godelieve, we have Billy Crudup displaying that signature sarcastic smile of Tristan's.

I am currently more in love with Tristan than I ever was before . And Clara looks awesome. (*Note the lack of a comment on Julius.)

I love that banner, Em! Whatever effect you used to make it look handpainted - it worked really well. And LittleLotte, I believe that we should refrain from all comment on the low-life scum and hail Tristan Although I feel rather sorry for the poor bloke ... (Wow, Em, you're getting your own little legion of fans here. What's next - a Water in the Wine Glass fanfic? )

Well, I suppose we must surrender him to his creator ::sigh::
And, well, on my part I've read all 15 chapters you've posted. I'm just very, very bad at being a good little reviewer ::hides:: I think I'll go leave a review, now ...

No matter how much my head and heart are screaming, "TRISTAN IS YOURS, NIKKI! DON'T DO IT!!" I must agree with Angel and surrender him to his creator. That was hard to do . *JK* Anyway, I reviewed- I'm the girl who said everyone reminded her of another fictional character.

Hey, just read it ... do you know how much I love this story? But seriously, poor Clara. And poor Tristan, come to think of it. I hope everything will turn out happily for them ... I'll probably go and review over on FP later. Keep writing, Em, you're just wonderful ;D

I have a question for y'all. How much longer do you see this story going? What do you see happening in the future? What ends still need to be tied up? And please, as flattering as it is, don't say "forever and ever! i wuuuuvvvs this story!" because really. We have more brain cells than that

Well, Em, to me it seems that now would be a good place to start wrapping things up. You've explained Tristan's relationship with Julius and all that jazz. It really depends how much further you want to carry it on. If you wanted to add a new section about Clara's relationship with Tristan, then, obviously, it will go on much longer. So, unless there's this huge twist you're going to pull on us, basically what I want to know is:
Will Clara and Tristan end up together? Has Clara really learned something from her encounter with Julius, or is she still willing to go and mess around with men? How will she cope with losing her fortune? What would she think about possibly marrying into a gypsy family? What happened to the rest of the revolutionaries? And ... what about Gen?
Yeah, a fair few questions ...

After a painfully long absence, Chapter Nineteen, "She Talks to Angels", has been written and posted! Silly exams and a new story idea stole from my stirring pot of inspiration for FAR too long. You might want to read the last half of Chapter Eighteen in order to refresh your memory as to the story as it stands.
Hope you enjoy!!!

Hmmm. What a feeling this is... Yes, ladies (and possible gentlemen? Ah, we'll pretend Raoul is here), it is finished. Water in the Wine Glass is... complete. I have posted Chapter 20, the Epilogue at the usual place: www.fictionpress.com/read.php?storyid=1976240&chapter=20I apologize for the incredibly long absence, but I just couldn't get the inspiration fairy to appear... I wrote this chapter in installments, over a span of about three months. Hopefully it's still as good. As you know, I am a review addict... and I like leaving things with a bang. .... BANG. Love you all, you've all been such wonderful support throught all of this! I'm sad to see it end, but you know what that means? Yes, I already have another story idea on the way It's just a matter of when! So until then... <3

Wow, Em. Simply amazing ending. I'm sorry I didn't comment on every chapter, but it was really a wonderful story. Yo're such a talented writer. I'd leave a review for you, but I don't have an account. Anyway, congratulations on finishing it. I liked how you didn't explain the title until the very end, it was a nice finishing touch.

I've always believed good things come to those who wait, and this ending proves it! It was fantastic, Em. Reading this story is the best possible use of my eyeballs while online...other than reading what's new on SYLM . Water in the Wine Glass is really one of the most well-written things I've read in the online world. The words that come to mind when I think of it: Fantastic. Incredible. Splendid. Amazing. And, to quote Angel: You. Are. Teh. Awesome. Congrats on dedicating yourself to this, and doing a great job, too!

and possible gentlemen? Ah, we'll pretend Raoul is here, Hah, can you imagine? He'd probabl be a bit creeped out that he has his own group of obsessed fangirls. But then, we could always show him POTO.com and then he'd see what nice normal people we are. Well, if he's here, then, Em, I will be very nice and let you have Tristan. But Raoul is MINE.
