Most hated ships

Well, we have a thread for ships we support ... so to balance things out, here's a place to moan about ships that you just cannot stand.

Here are some of mine:

POTO: Erik/Raoul. Why? Because it's freaking impossible. I actually have no problem with slash as long as the characters involved are, in fact, homosexual, which I'm pretty darn sure these two are not. Plus, why on God's green earth would Erik fall in love with the guy who he believes stole his girlfriend? And why would Raoul fall in love with a man who threatened to kill him? ARGH!

Les Mis: Enjolras/Anybody. No, no, no, a thousand times, NO! Hello? What happened to, "He was austere, seeming not to be aware of the existence on earth of a creature called woman."? And no, that does not mean that he wants to go to bed with the Amis, either -- especially Grantaire. He hates Grantaire. Sure, he's a handsome fellow, but please, let him be the chaste marble statue he's supposed to be. (And mention the word Patria and I will happily do something painful to your head.)

Marius/Eponine. Yes, yes, poor Eponine with her unrequited love, blah, blah, blah, I don't care. Who did Marius love? Cosette. No ifs or buts about it. Eponine's karma came back to haunt her. Sad, but true. I pity the poor little bugger, but honestly. Would you have a secret crush on a half-starved, rotten-toothed, lice-covered random who waltzed into your apartment demanding money, poking around through your things, singing to herself and eating your leftovers (before leading you to a fight in the hope that you would die)? I think not.

Jean Prouvaire/Anybody. I get jealous

Harry Potter: Draco/Hermione, Draco/Ginny & Hermione/Snape. All for the same reason. Hell will freeze over before Malfoy would touch a Muggle-born like Hermione or a 'blood traitor' like Ginny with a ten-foot pole. As for Snape ... no. Just ... no. She's young enough to be his daughter, and he doesn't like her. (I once saw a Harry/Sirius fic. That was really scary.)

Oh man, this is significantly more difficult than favourite ships... but here goes lol

POTO: Carlotta/Erik. No. No, no, no, no, NO! I'll hand it to you that Erik could make her a star and so she would be attracted to him, but he. hates. her. guts. Mutual relationship=key. I don't mind so much the E/R relationship, because most slash is straight guys gone gay, and there's an interesting clash of passionate people in this relationship, but it still wouldn't happen realistically.

Harry Potter: Dumbledore/Anyone. I mean really, that's just wrong. As well as Draco/Harry. I know everyone seems to love it what with the whole "sexual tension" thing, but it's like Erik and Raoul. It doesn't work.

Moulin Rouge: Duke/Satine or worse yet, Duke/Christian! ew ew ew ew SCUMBAG. He really is better off dying alone or becoming a monk. Can't you just imagine Duke as a monk? Oh the hilarity

*tries to think of other fandoms*

Lotr: Frodo/Sam. I know it's the one that makes the most sense (besides the other obvious ones), but something about it just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's the combination of their overwhelming insecurity but I believe they should be with someone a little more confident. It just rubs me the wrong way... I don't know.

::nods in agreement:: I can't believe I didn't put Draco/Harry. Honestly. They share a mutual loathing, not a secret passion. Sheesh.

The Harry Potter fandom does seem to create a whole lot of weird ships. I honestly think some people write down all the characters, pick two out of a hat and then write a fic shipping them. Dumbledore/McGonagall? Madam Hooch/Snape? Dumbledore/Snape? Hermione/Fleur? Hermione/Blaise? Harry/Snape? What's next? (What's left, more to the point )

Angel, your "names from a hat" theory seems pretty accurate when it comes to Harry Potter ships. Some ships are just sick and twisted- Draco/Luna? Ron/Pansy? Harry/Trelawney? The list goes on.

As for POTO, it's pretty much just Raoul/Erik I hate, simply because it's impossible. I don't really mind Erik/Carlotta- don't like it, but don't hate it, either.

For Wicked- Glinda/Elphaba. Just no. Green and pink are nice together as colors, but not as Elphie and Glinda. Next it'll be Boq/Fiyero, if things keep going at this rate.

A Series of Unfortunate Events- Violet/Olaf. People- have you read the books? He tries to murder or harm her and her siblings in EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. Mmmkay?

Th only fanfiction i really read is POTO. But the pairings I hate the most are

EC: Sorry to those of you who are EC as well as RC, but I just don't think there is any way that this relationship could work.

E/R: Ok, that's just gross. Raoul is NOT that stupid.

Andre/Firmin: firmin is MARRIED!

I don't really like Raoul or with anyone except Christine (or me...) because I just really think they should end up together. Also when people write fics that have Raoul or Chirstine paired with someone else and are based on the movie, they never actually say that it's AU. And technically it would be because it said Vicomptesse on her grave. Which menas she married Raoul.

Same here, Jaycee... I only really read POTO, but once a bit of HP.
Anyways, I hate E/C. Sorry to everyone who likes that... (I wonder what would happen if I said that on phantomoftheopera.com? ) but I just personally find it just... ew. I mean, Christine loved Raoul. A lot. Just listen to "All I ask of You". Is there anything, ANYTHING in there that suggests that she hated Raoul and just wanted to **** Erik?
Ok, that might be going too far. But that sort of thing is basically the whole storyline of some of the phics I've read... in fact, one of them turns Raoul into a secret serial killer with Christine as the next victim... and guess what, she runs away and lives happily ever after with Erik. (Actually the writing was very good, but what a storyline...)
I'm rambling. Sorry about that stupidly long post, but you get the point.

I also hate E/R... how unrealistic.

And in HP, I don't mind Harry/Hermione, even though that's probably not going to happen, but I don't like anything ridiculous as said before by Angel.
