Yeah, well, maybe the other reason it's so expensive is because it's freaking HUGE! I'm one of the world's fastest readers I think (to give you and Idea, I was halfway through Leroux 5 hours after I got it, and this was during school) but it's been three days and I'm just barely halfway through Kay now. It's a bit wierd so far. I haven't gotten to the actual opera part. Erik's still in persia. It's good so far, but only if I don't think about is as POTO. It glorifies Erik SO much and turns him into a total protagonist. It almost seems to justify him murderous nature, which kind of sucks. IT's like he's this sweet gentle guy and then all of a sudden, he turns into this murderous creature and then he's perfect and lovable again. Not very insane either, and I;m a big fan of insanity in his character. The writing style is also a bit morbid and wierd. Like when this girls jumps of a blacony, it describes how her brains are oozing out of her head. *rolls eyes*. I don't really like gore all that much though, so that's more of an opinion thing.
