 what's your story called, Angel? I'm so glad that we can actually somewhat enjoy being an RCer the way ECers can with phics... it really is an _almost_ fruitless hunt to find RC phics these days... |

It's 'Don't Want to Forget' ... I posted it here before, except the FFnet version has some tiny alterations. (I finally got an FFnet account ) I agree about the number of RC phics, Em. It's been ages since I had a dig around, but whenever I do, I'll come up with three or four new ones - tops. Usually I'll find one decently written one, after a good, hard search. No fair! Wasn't there something on FFnet a while back (or maybe still is, I don't know) called Project Vicomte? About promoting RC phics? Does anyone know if it's still active? Or was it squashed by the retaliating Project Phantom? (Grrr ... ) |

Hey thanks all. Project Vicomte technicaly still exists but it's not terribly active about adding new stuff. I know what you mean about finding new fics though - I skim through every other day or so and don't manage to findanything new more than about once a week. I will say one thing for R/C writers though - Raoul fans seem to have a higher average of inteligent 'members' (I guess that's one advantage of lacking the quantity of phanbrats Erik has) - so when you do finaly find an R/C fic it is usualy well written. Quality over quantity I guess. As to my av - I picked it up in a livejournal community awhile ago - I do love it so *grins*. The username of the artist is vargavinter, shes got some great stuff if you are an LJ user. (british_iconage is another icon maker there - she's a big Raoul fan so she usualy includes some great RC amongst the mass pleasing EC; little_women is the icon community I usualy pick stuff up from) |

And yay for lack of Raoul phanbrats! Up until recently I thought there were NO Raoul phanbrats. I thought the only Phanbrats were the ones who swoon over Erik and turn Raoul into an abusive alcohlic freak, but Lately i've noticed there are some RC stories that aren't quite as well written as others. You know, if you look hard enough, there actually are quite a few RC stories out there. You just have to know where to look. |

Holy cow. I've never seen anything like it. I didn't know that some *so-called* phic-writers could sink so low. *blinks* Raoul rape Christine? What the...? I'd give the author a true piece of my mind if it weren't for that I left POTO.com ages ago, it being labeled as 'The Fangirl Resort', which speaks volumes, truly. It's so sad to see so much hate for poor Raoulie. Aw. *takes a deep breath* You are all going to kill me when you read this but I'll go crazy if I don't say it..that phic on POTO.com was written by my friend from school. He Hates Raoul with a passion everytime he says something about bashing Raoul, I remind him that it's immature and he usually springs that I used to do that too...then I hit him and change the subject....but yeah, that is a friend of mine...he's odd but he is my friend. Please don't kill me! I get what you mean there, while I don't have any phriends, I guess that no matter how bad phics people write they're still people inside. I just take the phantom world too seriously since it's one of the little things that I have and easily get mad at any bad-written phic. |

Because I had nothing better to do, I left a mean review. I'll let everyone read it.
"This story makes me want to projectile vomit from my computer screen to the author's so it splats all over their face.
First of all, the punctuation is horrible. It doesn't need to be perfect, but for the love of God, make it better than this.
Second, the characters are completely and utterly out of character. This is just terrible.
Third, this is called the 'love triangle', but there are four people involved. So it would be a 'love square'. Or the 'love rectangle' or the 'love parallelogram' or the 'love rhombus' or the 'love trapezoid'.
You have no idea in this story, no plot, no character development, no nothing. It's just a bunch of useless words. Stick to the writing about the Babysitter's Club."
I actually enjoy some of the gorgeous discussions on poto.com. The Lair is a great place, and some of the Silver Screen discussions i.e. the Jung thread are great. Anything that Stefanie_Bean, GlovedHand, Jennie, and several others post in are great.

Wow, what a talented,creative reviewer you are. And that was not sarcasm. Sometimes people can't tell when I'm serious because I usually AM sarcastic. Anyway, that should teach them a lesson. It'll be interesting to see how the author responds to that!

My review on the phic:
This phic sucks. It has NO redeeming qualities about it whatsoever. Got it?
Things you desperately need to fix:
1. ERIK COULDN'T HAVE DATED ANYONE BECAUSE HE IS f*ck*ng UGLY!!!!!!! REMEMBER?
2. If Erik HAD dated someone, he wouldn't have had all those ISSUES, would he?
3. Raoul would NEVER do ANYTHING like this! He is a GENTLEMAN, which is more than I can say for a certain PHANTOM!
4. The punctuation is HORRIBLE.
5. Erik is sooooo OOC. He is so...phluffy in this story! Do you think Erik, who had worked so hard to create the reputation of someone to be feared, the sinister Phantom of the Opera, would be happy about the way you portrayed him in your fic (this doesn't even deserve the 'ph' in phic, for your characters are SO OOC that they aren't even PotO characters; just other random people with the same name!)?!?! I don't think so!
6. Christine is way too docile. She would NOT take this. She would slap Raoul in the face and go back to the opera house. She's innocent and sweet, not an imbecile! AND RAOUL WOULDN'T DO THIS STUFF, ANYWAY!!!
7. Where is the PLOT, anyway? The character development? Hmmmm? This is just a useless bunch of words, like CreamPuff said. Stick to writing about Sesame Street.
