Hello beautifuls! I come bearing good news of great joy... I finally saw Phantom for my second time! It was a slightly different cast, but I did see a number of familiar faces. You'll have to check POTO.com in the "Phantom in Canada's Capital" thread for my full cast review, but generally: Phantom/Stephen Tewksbury = Panaro and Crawford's lovechild. Christine/Marni Raab = I forget why I thought she was shrill. Her WYWSHA made me CRY. Raoul/Greg Mills = I was in tears by the end of his little solo in TOM. Yeah. He's THAT good. And of course I met the cast afterwards this time too! Bit of a blunder on my part, though; the first night, I missed them cause I went to the wrong stage door. I did, however, manage to convince my mom to go back the next night and try our luck. I am SO glad we did. For the full story, and every picture we took (read the captions for the story), go here: uottawa.facebook.com/album.php?aid=510&l=70c60&id=1656000002I will lend you a few of my favourites, though Me all nervous and finicky while I wait for the cast to come out, preparing my edition of the original Leroux novel for them to sign. Me with Polly Baird/Meg Giry. Me with John Whitney/Piangi. Me with the lovely Kim Stengel/Carlotta. Me with the sweetheart Rebecca Judd/Mme. Giry. The one you'll be most likely to hear me fangirling about. Greg Mills/Raoul (or Phantom, depending which night you go) And that's all for tonight! If I'm up to it later, I'll review and tell stories and such, but for now, my Facebook is about the best you've got to rely on

Wow, Em! Lucky, lucky, lucky you! (Great pics!) It sounds fantastic ... I'm so jealous. There's finally an Australian POTO production on now, but ... unfortunately it's on the other side of the country. Which is kind of depressing when you consider that it would actually take me less time to fly to Indonesia than to the eastern states. But ... I may very well be going sometime next year ... and if I do, you will be hearing be squee-ing -- even in Ottawa! I need to do some more research, but it has Anthony Warlow as the Phantom (OMG *drowns in own fangirl drool*). Anyway, to cut a long story short -- hopefully sometime next year, I'll be posting my own stage door pics! </endthreadhijack> ... by the way, you look adorable when you're nervous and finicky, Em
