RC Phanphiction Archive! « Thread Started on Aug 30, 2005, 10:03am »
Due to the fact that it is very difficult to find good RC phanphiction, I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we could mention little treasures we have found. RC, naturally
I'll start:
Nepanthehttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/2442889/1/ Christine reflects on the differences between Erik and Raoul - pure RC and very sweet and meaningful! Amazing writing - one of my favourite RCs. Ever. Total gem. (By the way, "gem", when I say it, is a compliment of the highest order )
Thoughts Lay Drowninghttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/2427583/3/ Christine and Raoul's relationship beginning after Il Muto. It's fluff, but it's quality fluff - and it has multiple chapters!
EDIT: I cannot believe I forgot this one! ::slaps self:: The Wrong Manhttp://aria.phoenixfyre.net/viewstory.php?sid=310 Well, not exactly your typical RC ... but the ending is just great! Just keep reading, have faith! It's a total gem.
There'll be more to come from me ... I love weeding out RCs (thankless task it is, though). But if you know of any others worth mentioning, please post!

Awesome idea for a thread!
To shamelessly plug myself, I've written an RC phic that's been claimed to keep all characters "wonderfully in-character". Perhaps you've come across it, perhaps not, but I'd be overjoyed if you checked it out

Oh, shameless! If I wasn't just about to go to school, I'd read it now ... I'll check it out when I get home again!
(That's fine, I totally understand. As a matter of fact, about thirty seconds after I posted the topic, I looked at my screen and thought 'Oh ... this should go in the Louvre, shouldn't it?' Great minds think alike )
EDIT: I just read your story, Simple Rose! It's really great - the plotline is original and your characterisation is spot on. Now you just need to update! (By the way, I'd love to go shopping with Raoul ... )
"Even she had her most sacred son with an angel, not her husband.EI love that line - although I'm a bit worried about the implications
EDIT 2: Found another one! First Lovehttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/2309737/1/ After Erik kidnaps Christine from the Don Juan Triumphant performance, he runs away instead of taking her to his lair. Naturally, Raoul comes to rescue her. It's a good, long RC with a surprising, but good ending ...

You're very welcome, Jaycee It's one of my many little hobbies; I'll definitely keep looking! And I totally second your last statement: please update, Em!

Yay, I found an RC phic! I've been searching POTO.com for a verrrrry long time and the only one I ever found was Em's phic but today, I was searching through the endless mass of EC phics which all seem to be the same and I found another RC phic!

Ooh! I'll have to read when I get home from school
EDIT: And ooh! I have found another!
Freedom from Darknesshttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/2648326/1/ Graveyard scene from Christine's POV. Very RC, very sweet ... and Christine asks Raoul to sing in this one! Lovely little one-shot.

Okay, It's been ages since anyone's posted anything here and I've been reading this phic for a while and thought you guys might like it. I find that in most phics where Raoul and Erik have to work together against a common enemy, it becomes a bit unrealistic, but I like the way this author has written that aspect of the story. Ok I'll shut up now before I give away the whole story.

Wow, those are *very* nice phics listed... I never thought that something so well-written could exist in the phandom. Unfortunately, I don't have any to put on here... I became frightened of phics ever since 99% of them are E/C, for I never read phics... but now I will, of course... since now I know that R/C phics do exist.

I've only got two chapters up so far, and I'm kind of busy with exams lately so I don't know how soon I can get a new one done. I might get one done tonight, or maybe another night when I don't have too much to study. I'm still planning to finish my modern story, but for the moment, I want ot concentrate on this one.

Hey, nice, Jaycee! I'm looking forward to seeing how this Dynamic Duo work together And I really do love your Carlotta.
EDIT: Here's another goody I just discovered.
Monsieur le Vicomtehttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/2620212/1/ Movie-based phic with some Leroux references. Basically, a re-telling of the movie totally from Raoul's point of view and with the addition of further members of the de Chagny family ... quite interesting.

Thanks Angel! I seem to recall you saying that about my Carlotta in the other story! I guess I have a hidden talent for writing abotu Carlotta! Anyway, as to the "dynamic duo work(ing) together", well, prepare for disappointment. That's all I'm going to say. Anyway, I've updated it, and If you'd like to take a look at my new chapter, that would be great. You know I value you opinion!
Christine, my dearhttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/2719553/1/ A walk through a snowy Swedish forest, a fawn, Christine's red scarf and more than just fluff Lovely.

Hey, wow! I've read so many of these! So many great phics...and I can't even finish one, I skip around too much with my writing. -_-
First Love and Thoughts Lay Drowning are on my faves list on ff.net. (Under penname "Hikaru Hayashi", though I don't go on much any more...I haven't posted in almost a year, and I only read the updates for the stories I feel like reading...which are very few...)
